Regional Pitch Competition
Announcing the WBEC FL Regional Pitch Competition serving as a qualifying round for the National WBENC Semi-Finals.
The National Finalists will have the opportunity to win cash prizes of:
First Place $50,000
Second Place $20,000

Timeline

How the Competition will work:

Spark Round (Regional Final): A group of the top 10 regional applicants will be invited to pitch virtually on September 14th, from 10am - Noon EDT. Pitches are 60 seconds in length.
Strength Round (Semi-Finals): The top three (3) participants from each RPO competition entry round will advance to pitch in the national Semi-Finals hosted by WBENC. This round of the competition will occur on November 1st and 2nd Pitches are two (2) minutes in length. Participants will also answer questions from the judges’ panel in a live virtual setting.
Momentum Round (Finals): A group of finalists with the top scores from the national Semi-Finals will advance to the final round of the WBENCPitch competition. Pitches in this round are three (3) minutes in length. The Finals will be held live at the WBENC in-person event the week of November 27 - 29.
Pitch Criteria
Participant must be a WBENC-Certified WBEs whose certification is in good standing.
Participant fits the following 1st Round Criteria:
- Pitch must be longer than 60-seconds
- Pitch must capture the audience’s attention and spark interest (entertaining & informative)
- Existing product, service, or business solution that is ready for market or currently in market (not a future idea or endeavor seeking an investment).
Applicant must be a female owner of the company.
If the solution is a result from a joint venture between multiple WBE companies or if the business has more than one (1) female owner, the application must be submitted on behalf of only one of the WBE companies or owners. Only one WBE will be permitted to pitch in each roundand it will need to be the same WBE in each round.
